Der Schock, Struwwelpeters Welt  (German/English)

by David Herrero - Theatre LOTE

Original music and direction by D. Herrero

Suitable: Yrs 5 – 12, & festivals

Duration: 40 minutes

“Der Schock” is a visually striking and highly entertaining performance that incorporates music, puppetry and Hoffman’s shockingly funny poems!

SYNOPSIS:

Treff Elliot! In the classroom, he knows everything there is to know about German: Er kann bis zehn zählen, nach dem Weg oder Wetter fragen.

But imagine the shock Elliot will feel when he’s drawn into the weird world of Hoffman’s Struwwelpeter. How will he be able to talk to angry Hasen, psychotic little Mädchen and lunatic Schneidern?

Perhaps Elliot will discover that learning a language is about communicating in any situation, no matter how bizarre.
